Penahanan seorang lelaki berusia 27 tahun bersama sepucuk pistol jenis Baretta dan sebilah parang di sebuah taman perumahan di Setapak, di sini, kelmarin, membuahkan hasil apabila dua lagi rakan subahatnya ditahan tidak lama kemudian. Dua lagi rakannya masing-masing berusia lewat 20-an ditahan di Serdang dan kumpulan itu dipercayai terbabit dalam beberapa kes pergaduhan di sekitar Lembah Klang.

Dalam kejadian kira-kira jam 5 pagi itu, polis menerima aduan daripada orang awam mengatakan akan berlaku satu pergaduhan membabitkan dua kumpulan di kawasan perumahan berkenaan. Menurut sumber polis, beberapa anggota kemudian dihantar ke lokasi kejadian bagi memantau keadaan sebelum melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap individu yang mencurigakan di kawasan berkenaan.
